Parent Involvement
Your role as a parent of an athlete is crucial! Parents can have a significant impact on their child's participation and success in sports. They can assume many roles, such as being a current or former athlete, coach, fan, motivator, role model, or critic. Studies have suggested that parents have a more substantial influence than coaches on an athlete's involvement and achievements in sports. Additionally, parents are the primary agents responsible for introducing their children to sports and shaping their attitudes and behaviors towards it.
Volunteer time
Each family is obligated to volunteer 2 hrs of their time throughout the season unless you pay the volunteer buyout fee due at registration.
We ask volunteers to assist us in the snack shack, at the apparel table, and with set-up and breakdown.
We are a volunteer-led organization and value your time and effort to ensure home games run smoothly. As a parent of an athlete, you are a vital part of our success. When we volunteer together, we can serve our team and community together.
If you have any questions about your volunteer requirement, please reach out to your Team Mom.
PARENTS AND ATHLETES
Parents and athletes need to manage their Crossbar accounts to ensure they get the most out of their Apponequet Junior Football and Cheer experience during each sporting season. With their accounts properly configured, athletes and their families will receive communications according to their preferences and be able to complete registrations more efficiently.
