Apponequet Junior Football

We recommend that the information that you include on this side of the program be independent to the season. Ages

Players in K through 8 grades are eligible to register.

When

The preseason begins in early August, with regular season games running September through early November. Playoffs will continue until mid-November.

Where

AJFC Home Field

Practices

Football Practice:

Preseason: Monday-Friday 5:30- 7:30 PM
Season: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (Fridays may be required at the discretion of the head coach) 5:30- 7:30 PM

Games

Games are on Saturdays and Sundays.

Saturday game times can change each week. A full schedule will be shared during preseason.

Sunday Games*

Mites: 10 AM
Midgets: 11:30 AM
PeeWees: 1 PM

Mighty Mites schedules are subject to field availability. Please refer to coach and team correspondence for specific game times.

Please note that players are expected to report to the field 1.5 hours prior to the scheduled game time at the discretion of the head coach. Football players who do not report to weigh in cannot play per OCYFL regulations.

Parents can purchase the following items online or at a sporting goods store

Tethered mouthguard
Cleats - No metal cleats allowed.
Water bottle - Squeeze bottles or bottles with a long straw are ideal.
